There is A United Airlines airport agent accused of having a racial slur from a customer and faces a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.

The charge against Carmella Davano premiered in municipal court in Houston last month following a Feb. 26 incident at Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Houston Police spokesman Victor Senties stated that two witnesses, and pupil Cacilie Hughes, who is black told officers that the agent called her a fighter.

United Airlines spokesman Jonathan Guerin says while the matter has been investigated, Davano was removed from responsibility since the episode. Guerin says if the analysis is over, United will take appropriate action”up to and including termination.”

The charge against Davano is punishable by a fine of up to $500. A jury trial has been scheduled for June 3.
